When you think of sailing, think San Diego!
Sunny and 75 year-round!
While sailing San Diego's stunning bay, take the time to visit our beautiful city. Plenty of shopping and dining is available in the Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego's liveliest neighborhood. The San Diego Zoo, Seaworld and our beaches offer many activities and plenty to see and do for all ages.
Glorietta Bay
Glorietta Bay is one of the big favorites in San Diego. Located at Coronado Island, it is in view of the Hotel Del Coronado, an old and well-known hotel. Anchor here for the 4th of July and have the best seats in San Diego for the fireworks displays!
Mission Bay
Mission Bay is another great destination; located to port as you enter the channel is Mariner's Basin and to starboard is Quivera Basin. Both are located outside of the Ventura Bridge. Guest slips are available at Islandia Marina (619) 224-1234 and Marina Village or drop anchor at Bonita Cove in Mariner's Basin. Plenty of fun to be had enjoying both Mission and Pacific beaches, just a dinghy ride away!
Whale Watching
The Gray Whales begin their annual migration from Alaska to Baja California where their breeding grounds lie. These whales may grow anywhere from 30 to 50 feet in length and live an average of 40 years. Their migratory route ranges from 10,000 to 14,000 miles round trip, which is the longest route ever recorded for a mammal. California Gray Whales can be found just a few miles off of Point Loma.
Whale Watching Season runs mid- December to late March.
